Summit
Raceway proudly presents the 27th year of racing action. A pure
adrenaline rush of power, speed, noise and excitement, however, a whole seat
will be sold to you, but, you will only need the edge! If That.
Gladiators using powered chariots will do battle in a confined ¼ mile
coliseum, commonly referred to, by the modern day warrior as a dirt track
racing facility, for supremacy and the ultimate reward of achieving the
status as Victor.
The
2011 Summit Raceway Board consisting of the following members;
President-Joe Hood, Vice-President-Ryan Guthrie, Secretary-Laura Greenwood,
Treasurer-Jody Hierholzer, Sergeant at Arms- Ben Gonzales and Special
Events- Aleisha Pelc, extend a welcome to all fans, drivers, pit crew
members and sponsors to enjoy the upcoming racing season, as well as,
encourage participation in the form of volunteering to assist Summit Raceway
in achieving 2011 goals, by providing good, clean family entertainment, an
increase in spectator and car counts, to promote sportsmanship and to
continue an effort to work together with other area race tracks.
During
the off season, race track improvements have taken place and will continue
soon, committees are being formed for various projects. Comments, concerns
or questions are welcomed. Together, we can strive to achieve the goals set
forth in making Summit Raceway, the Premiere Dirt Track Racing Facility of
interest for years to come.
